Jet Kit?

I did a search on this with no results...

What exactly is a "jet kit"? I've heard a few people talking about them in threads and I know they're for our trannies, but what exactly does it do? How much? Where do I find one if I decide I want it?

the oil jet is juat a piece of pipe that gets inserted into the tranny that sprays tranny fluid on the 2nd gear shaft and bearing to keep it cool and lubricated.
bring the car into the dealer for it, its free

Is this kit necessary for a 99 TL? I know that most of the problems were on trannies from 00-03, and am not sure if it's needed for a 99.

I looked on alldata and there is a TSB for the 99's

I tried doing a search, but couldn't find anything.

Which one of the 75 TSBs for 1999 TLs are you referring to?

From: http://www.alldata.com/TSB/01/99010926.html

I'm looking at TSB 02-027: 1. Campaign - Automatic Transmission Defect

I'm not sure if this is what the Oil jet TSB # is.

I believe that is the TSB that announced that the 1999 TLs were covered by the 7 year/100,000 mile extended transmission warranty.
