i saw these for sale and the description states that these are OEM honda parts, and that these have built in "city lights" which the US versions dont have.


what the hell do they mean "city lights"?

 

similar to the daytime running lights.

the canadian TL's have them....i think.

i saw someone saying where in europe they have city lights, when ur in the city, you flip em on and drive around using the city lights for illumination so you dont blind people.

 

yea all canadian cars have dtrl, I think its against the law if you dont have them. I know that some ppl wanted to import cars from US and they couldnt cuz the cars didnt have them so you cant register it or insure it.

 

No what city lights are it is a 194 blub usually installed the high beam or the low beam of the head light I have seem them on ebay the 99-01 honda inspire it is in the low beam near the differor and on the 02-03 head lights you can see them on the low beam on the right side of the lower low beam they are usually hook up to a switch or they splice them into the parking lights alot of the older 92-00 civic jdm lights come with them I have been thinking about buying a set because i'm doing the 02-03 front end conversion to my 99-01 tl-p here the link on a right side honda inspire headlight with the city light

Only difference I see in the ones you posted is that the diffuser is red instead of amber. IMO it's not worth it to go buy JDM headlights. Might as well black them out yourself.

 

Unlike the usdm head lights, on the jdm ones you can actually see the inside of the head lights where the D2R size bulb is located. Plus the small city bulb on the bottom side. Still, the price is too expensive.

Kinda like those, except for the red on the sides, wonder if their brighter than the OEM US version with the HID diffuser/reflector thingy. Those headlights would look nice on WDP or NBP

prob got rear ended and got it replaced with wrong year tails...

and i know at least on the 02-03's, if you actually look at the back of the headlight, you can actually see where those city lights are suppose to go, cause the socket is molded in there, just not cut out though (and not cut into the reflector either)

 

Hey guys, sorry for resurrecting this thread but I had a question regarding these lights. Will they fit an 01' CL? Also, they had a make an offer feature on the most recent listing, I offered the guy 200 for them and he accepted. Of course I did this at 3a.m and completely missed the fact that they were being shipped from hong kong :P

cl headlights wont fit a tl. I have ordered parts from rpmgarage before and their pretty good and reliable.
