thinking of a 99, also not really fair to compare a S to lousy P, really needs to be a P to another P

less weight does help the turning/cournering, but not additional power, especially with fwd, that will just make you plow striaght foward

a lighter car does not need as big of brakes anyways, so stock brakes with a good pad proably would work pretty well

stock brakes for your stripped out cl, but yeah you will not be any good on an auto X course, too powerful, try going on a true race course with nice long striaght aways

miatas are small, so the salom (sp?) was really tight. thats what killed my time had to go 20mph when the mitas were going 40-50 like it was nothing. im gonna go to some bigger courses this year

so only a stiaght line then basically , normally they make a complete loop/circle

but yeah where your car will excel, will be the courses with the longer striaghts, so you can actually stretch it's legs out

Figured I'd post the progress on my ride for good measure. I think the guys with the 6-SPD's need to worry the most. The AUTO engines are a pain to deal with wiring and ECU wise. I got lucky with my swap and might as well have stolen it for the price I paid. But if I sell my trans and shift cables I could get almost $1000 for it. Which is much more than I paid for the swap.

When I'm finished my build I'm buying a high quality alarm and using a home made theft deterrent system...

are their mounts on the side of the engine? i'd imagine it'll rock a lot without em

Hahahahaha really? All those b18c5 civics are still 4 lug? They must be fake too. Just because the CL or TL is 5 lug doesn't mean the swap has to be.

This said it all. First time. With some experience better tires and a little setup suspension and PSI wise you will be able to run much faster.

If driven wrong yes, but there is no reason a FWD cant go around a corner as fast as a RWD, (especially with a LSD like the 6 speeds have). You have to learn to drive FWD a little different but once you learn you will be fast. My last auto x i was took down a 350z,2 3 series and a Lexus Is.

those can also be converted to 5-lug if owners wanted too, but also the largest the civic ever got from the factory for a B series motor was a 1.6 Liter, so a B16

so YES all those Civic's have had swaps

b16 is the only b series that came in civics except for the type R that had a b18.
