Regarding statistics, Consumer reports has reliability trends for each car based on consumer response. Under the transmission category: Good for 99, Fair for 2000, poor for 2001-2002, good for 2003

I'm out. 3 trannies by 93k miles. Last one got 24k miles before it went. I cannot hope that Acura will *goodwill* me on the next one if it goes after 100,000 miles.
I do not want to have to worry about it.
As far as the car goes- I love the damn thing. But the worry is not worth it.

here in texas after 4 trannys we get the lemon law, where they hand us cash for what the car is worth at that point it oculd be 3 trannys i can't remeber )=
