Unhappy Intermittant clicking on Bose Radio

My Dad has a 2002 TL and has an intermittent clicking sound in his stock radio (no navigation). It can happen when the radio is on or a CD is playing. Dealer wouldn't do crap for him because it never happened when they had it. :thefinger
I have a 2002 TL as well, but never had the problem. Anyone else ever run into this and what did you do to fix it??
Thanks!!

the bose system is very open to cellular signals and other RF devices... next time it happens, if you store your phone in the little tray under the radio. move it and see if it stops. otherwise, i couldent tell you what the problem is...

Good point, Darkshear. When I used to have Nextel, it did it all the time. It was kind of cool, though, because the radio would click before the phone rang. But it was still annoying nonetheless. Switched to Sprint and never happened again.

I had some clicking but it turned out to be my new cell phone (GSM model). As I drove through different areas, I would hear some clicking and popping. I turned the cell phone off and it has gone away. Now I keep it in the armrest compartment instead of the cupholder.

i normally get the clicking noise right before my phone starts ringing... which is a good thing cause most of the time my music is too loud to hear anything else!!

That's what the "F" that clicking noise is! I was told to bring back to the dealership and try to duplicate it. I thought because we dont have an external antenna (non-nav) the signal get's all messed up. Oh, I also have a nextel sh!T.
