Post Interior Dome Light

Am I wrong, or does the interior dome light no longer fades itself out when you leave the door open? I recall my '99 had such a feature.

My 01 stays on if you have the door open... it only fades after you close the door..

The dome light does fade out. Don't know how long it takes before fade out though... but last time I was vaccum my car, with 4 DRs open, and the dome light turned off by itself....

I was vaccuming also and I noticed the darn thing stayed on. I didn't time myself, but it usually takes me 10 minutes to do all four mats. I will have to take notice next time.

Yeah, I think we all know there is a switch with three settings, but if you understood my question, my '99 had a auto time out for the light.

You know, the light is supposed to stay on when the door is open. The fade occurs when you turn off the car and don't open the door. What I don't like is the fact that when you get in and you turn on the car, the light turns off and if you open the door and the car is on, it doesn't fade. who know...who cares. It's just one of thos features that are not that important really (IMHO). I do wish they did day-time running lamps--I leave mine on because of auto-off, but I don't like the dinging aleart sound that reminding me that they are on.
