Interior Care

Good Evening. Recently brought a 03 TLS and after spending a few hours on this site, found just about everything I needed to know. The only question I have left is about the interior of the car. I have black leather interior and would like to know what the best cleaner/conditioner would be. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I use Meguiar's Leather care and it is foam in a spray can that costs about $7...Works just fine and isn't greasy on your clothes...

Thanks, I have some of the meguire wipes left, didn't think they would work very well, so I thought I would ask.

I use 303 Aerospace. I use it on everything from vinyl to leather to everything except the window and carpets. Works wonders and is not shiny... Its made for boats so its super protective against the sun...

I don't use the wipes, Dom. I actually bought the foam and use a microfiber towel to rub it in...

hmmm... I use the Meguiars Leather Protectant (spray) but I've heard you guys talk about this 303 stuff before. I use the Meguiars for the seats, doors, and dash (its so much better than armoral on the dash).... but if I put this 303 stuff on the dash, will it be greasy and shiny like armoral???? Oh - and I can only get it at a boating store too right?? thx

303 is shiney when you first put it on.

What I do the whole interior and I let it sit for about 30 mins. Then I take a dry rag and go over everything. It takes the shine out and it looks amazing. You can find it at boating stores or its on eBay every know and then...

Off the shelf - (meaning you can get it at pep boys or autozone)
#1 Lexol (separate cleaner and protectant)
#2 Zymol (spearate Cleaner and Protectant) usually at Target
#3 Mequiars (combo cleaner protectant)

Off the internet -
#1 Platinum (leather cleaner and leather protectant)
#2 303

I get all my products from http://www.premiumautocare.com/
Dwayne is an awesome guy (runs the site)

I use #1 and #2 - once a month I use #1 combo to completly clean and dress my leather interior (the conditioner is awesome the leather drinks is in and it is never greasy leaves it looking factory fresh and it smells that way too..the cleaner is just awesome)

#2 303 the interior including a light wiping on the leather once a week. 303 is like the ulitmate UV protectant for your interior it is never greasy and leaves a nice sheen without looking like you spilled the lube while getting lucky in the car ).

What, nobody uses the Zaino's Leather In a Bottle?

That stuff is amazing. It's the only cleaner/conditioner that my leather gets, and it does wonders. Smells awesome, too -- just like when I first picked it up from the dealership.

3M leather conditioner cream and nothing but Pro Honda Polish on the rest of the car in and out, even glass... it leaves the perfect finish on everything and seems to make clear plastic disappear... awesome on just about any surface. You can buy the Honda polish at any Honda bike dealer for $5 a can.... in the summer I use a can each week to keep both my cars up to snuff
