Just got the newest issue of motortrend and on their performance trends section they do intakes. They say that the AEM intake gives you 9.5hp, i dont know if that true or not, i just thought id share.

BTW. they also said that the K&N intake gives 30hp so who knows.

 

HP increase all depend on make and model of car.

Honda and Acura are known for having very well designed factory intakes, so performane intakes don't add that much HP.

A Mits Eclipse on the otherhand, has a poorly desinged intake. So a performance intake on a 99GST/GSX will add 10-14 HP.

On a C5 Vette, the dual K&N intake will add close to 20HP.

it all depends....so those reports mean nothing if it's not done on your specific make, model, year of car.

yeah....every car is different. case in point the difference in power gain between the tl-p and tl-s w/ the same header.
