Intake tubing size

I looked at the shapes and they seem to be similar (at least to me) but I may be wrong. However if they are not I can get a much cheaper (60$ cheaper) intake
Hmm.. actually does anyone here have pics of their intake installed for comparison purposes?

TL SRI goes for $139.99 or something like that around here. The cheapest RSX-S SRI I saw was for 200$. If I could save myself 60$ I would however i'm not THAT cheap to soup up a home-made contraption hehe

Just looking at the pics. The SRI for the TL has the bend further away from the throttle opening (near the filter). The opposite is true for the RSX intake where the bend is near the throttle opening.

I wonder if you can attach the filter to either side of the SRI tubing... can someone verify that for me? If so then just by reversing it, I'm pretty positive I could make it fit in the space provided...

If anything, you might be able to cut off that flared end to get it to fit into the TB.

I don't have the SRI, but I can be pretty sure that all the short rams have a flared rim on the end that holds the filter cone.

I would just go to a auto parts store that sells them and try a few to see if you could retro-fit it. My personal opinion, pay the $$ for the right one. Granted it's only a piece of pipe with a filter on the end, but do you really want some homemade, cut up in my basement SRI?

You are correct. I would much rather have a proffessionally done SRI, however I'm still debating whether I should pay double of what it should cost... heh. I think, I'll wind up buying the right SRI anyway. Just wanted to see my options here heh...
