Intake resonator

If I remove the intake resonator, do I have to put in a new air filter or something?

Nope. It is just a separate box below the air cleaner box. The air cleaner box holds the air filter. Some folks choose to change to a high-performance, or hi-flow, filter, but it's not a requirement.

No.

After you remove it, remember all the fun starts after 5000 RPMs.

make sure you grab the small plastic piece that tries to stay behind
When finished there will be 2 large open holes on the bottem of air filter box where the res box used to attach

Now there is air direct feed from the large area of inner wheel well- plus that area has drain holes on bottem plastic cover so not an issue from water that way
and being up high prevents water in like CAI systems get

a high flow filter will pay you back, and makes TL sound and run like a V8 motor above 4700 rpm
It also goes from sipping to gulping mode on the fuel in vtec so be aware that fun cost

as with most things TL- when I get specific of course that item will vary by year DOH!

drill another hole!!
qty:2, 3 or 4 inch diameter holes will allow the engine to suck in as much air as it wants at any time

So, I have a question about it. When I removed my intake resonator, my engine sound became great! Like you said it run like V8. But in a few days after running without intake resonator the sound became usual. I set hi flow K&N panel filter but... Nothing changes. And I cant understand the reason of this Any suggestions, guys?

Nothing has changed. Your ears have just gotten used to the sound. Does it still perform the same?

Thanks! Performance as a well. I thought that my ears just gotten to the sound, but my girlfriend hear this difference too... And she is driving with me not so very often. Maybe ECU calculate that flow-intake too high and reset some values? But its more fantastic
