Post intake differences

I have some Stillen intake filters a friend gave me but I was wonderin if I should shell out the extra $175 for the Weapon R intake?

Is there really any differnce in using the factory intake pipe compared to a Weapon R?

If you're talking about the filter and not the pipe, they are probably all made by K&N. AEM uses them and I think most other retailers do to.

So if it's the standard cone filter, it should be fine. The bigger problem is the pipe. Can't just use any old one.

Thanks for the input.

In reference to the pipe, wouldn't the factory rubber\plastic pipe absorb less heat than the metal intake pipes most manufacturers use?

In order to do what you're talking about it would require this...see link below.

It's a rubber elbow you can buy from Home Depot.
