hands down, AEM CAI... It costs more than the short ram, but really performs better and sounds better too... This mod does not make your car sound obnoxiously loud either... The roar from this bad boy makes you wanna stomp tha gas all tha time... When winter time comes I cant wait because Ive noticed that cold crisp air makes for unparalled performance....Shyne

I just ordered the Injen CAI from Tim. I will let you know how that turns out. Seems that Injen makes better intake... but I will post more after I got it. I have used AEM short ram (RED) and AEM CAI (silver). I think they have poor craftmanship.

Right now its a toss up between AEM and Injen. Both make quality products but I think more people have the AEM esp. on the CL board.

A short ram has its advantages too: the filter doesn't get as dirty so cleaning can be done less often and it's much much easier to access the filter when you do eventually clean it.

On top of that, the short ram probably gets a good supply of cold air circulating through when you're traveling at higher speeds so it should perform similarly to the cold air intake then. It's just at stop and go and low speed driving that the short ram unfortunately sucks in the hot engine compartment air.

my 2 cents.

I've got an Injen only because everyone else gets AEM and I wanted to be different. It was a lot cheaper too and I hear Injen outperforms AEM's design. Well I took a stab at making a custom CAI and I like that more than anything so I've got an Injen CAI for sale if you're interested and not down to spend 200+ bucks. Here's the link and pics to the for sale forum.
