instruction on side skirts body kit installation?

I have put up my front and rear spoiler by myself..and was just wondering how we can do the side ones?

I have unscrewed all the screws and now it is a matter of unlocking the skirt from the housing...any suggestion or file containing step by step instruction is mostly appreciated...

please PM-me if you have the file attachment...thanks so much

Dave

the skirts are locked in pretty tightly so most have used a 2x4 (or something similar) to wedge in the space between the rear of the skirt and the rear tire. you basically push forward on this "handle" and the skirt will slide forward to release itself.

Did you try it by yourself? I tried to push it by myself and it was pretty stiff...do you think this is the most painful step compared to others?

i did wedge a 2x4 and although i thought i was gonna F everything up, it worked! you need to apply a good amount of force. this IS the worst part! if you feel better, you and a friend can use hand pressure and friction to force the skirt off the car...but i don't think it's gonna work.

installing the skirt is nothing more than sliding the plastic pop pins into it's guide on the skirt and then pressing the entire skirt such that the pins match up with the openings on the car. removing the skirt requires you to dislodge the plastic pop pins from the skirt to get the skirt off and this is why you SLIDE the skirt off instead of pulling it off. you then pluck out the pins from the car and reuse on the new skirt.

It took me long to do it cause I thoughtI would break something but it TAKES A LOT OF FORCE. Trust us. Put some cloth around the 2x4 to protect the paint.
