Post Instead of a TL-S type. . . . .

I just talked to Colin(Internet Sales Manager) at ACURA and he too confirmed the 2002 TL-S. He also said probably not until late summer, early winter because of the release of the new integra's.

He also asked me why I wanted to get the S-type since I had just purchased me TL in August? Why not just buy the CL-S intake manifold and maybe the heads(for compression ratio)?

Does anyone know if this will work?? seeing that the TL and CL has the same engine. Does anyone know the compression ratio on both cars?

I'd rather do this, being that I just bought my car, don't really know if parts will be interchangeable(body kit, exhaust, springs) because of facelift of 2002 model.

Any reply's would be much appreciated! ! !

If you'd've caught me in a better mood (i have a headache) I'd go over it all again, but its been posted.

I comepletely went house on those topics, about all parts from the CL-S (even the MDX and Accord V6) that are compatible/feasible for the TL. Even priced them and got an estimate from an Acura Technician.

In short Intake Mani: not without mad work. But its been done before on an Accord V6.

Head, yeah but its a ton of money, and not worth it unless you're willing to shell out something along the order of 3 grand. (yeah I know your jaw drops now, and say its not worth it) Just get an S when it comes out, or wait for the SC

Good thing the bottom end is the same, or you'd be payin more than twice that.

I'm with you Tanner. If I want more power I'll just bolt-on the "soon-to-be-released" supercharger....

You should ask Colin just how feasable and how much he and his Acura Techs can do the job for. Colin is good about doing his research, so he should have a pretty good idea on exactly how much they can do it for.
