Installing Silver Reverse Gauges

I just got my silver reverse glow gauges today from procarparts. it was pretty cheap, with shipping and everything comes out to $13. I've seen the DIY from this board but still having problems. I can't even remove the black trim around the gauges. The two screws above the steering column have been taken off and I can take the middle tab off, but i can't seem to the rest off.
If anyone has done this please give me some pointers. Should I just stick a flat-head screwdriver in and force it out? I'm afraid of breaking or cracking the trim.

grab hold where the screws were (its the most flexable to get fingers in) and pull. thats teh best advise. there is no real trick. just brute force to pull

no, there are abunch of little spots that the dash clips in, thats all thats holding it back. once you get it started it comes out fairly easy
