I just changed mine to NGK Platinum I paid $9.89 each at Oreillys. $11.71 at Sparkplugs.com..... Shopping at Oreillys paid for the beer.

Nobody has mentioned anti-sieze on the threads and dielectric grease on the connections (top of plug & bottom of coil). Thoughts??? I always have done this.

For those without torque wrenches - this should be one of your next investments. http://www.craftsman.com has torque wrenches from $19.99 to $250.

Yep, thanks alot for the help again. I'll let everyone know how the install went. I've never really tackled anything in my engine before except installing the AEM CAI.... hopefully this wont be too hard!

heh we all wish plugs lasted this long. you most likely had them replaced @ the 60k service. And you should've gotten them replaced again @ 100k-105k, maybe that's why they died.

Good choice on plugs though

anyhow's this thread must be so old since spark plugs were my first mod!!

i swapped mine out around 110k they were still in good shape. just a slight rough idle in park. after i swapped them out i felt a little better responce and smother idle. i think 80k would be a good time to swap out plugs

Wow.... I just finished installation, and my car runs so much more smoother now. Its great! The old plugs were in rough shape, but not as bad as I thought they'd be in for having 128K on them. Now all I have to do is replace the EGR valve (dunno if I'll do it myself) and then a valve under the fuel tank (and I dont know if I should do that myself either.) Thanks for the help everyone, especially fsttyms1!!! I'm really pleased with the result!
