Installing Headers?

Installing Headers? Was seriously thinking of buying the comptech headers. My question is. Isthis something i can do my self. Has anyone installed this kit? What kind of difference did the new install make in the power of our rides. Just curious. Thanks 2003tls

It took my friend and I 6 hours to do an OBX header install. Of course, we only had jack stands, and had to work under extremely cramped circumstances.

I'd just take it to a trusted mechanic and have them do it on a lift. Can't take them more than an hour.

Go buy a hydraulic jack for like 50-60 bucks. It'll make things a lot easier.

Unbolt downpipe from the catalytic converter, unbolt from the headers. Unbolt headers from the block.

Not that complicated. You can do it, but get a friend or two to help.

My friend and I installed headers, down pipe, test pipe, B-pipe, and muffler on his GS-R in under 2 hours. Literally the entire exhaust system.
