Installing fog Lights

I just bought the new PIAA plasma bulbs. I know not to touch the bulb, but what is the best way to install them? Someone mentioned uncliping the splash guard and feeding the bulb through. Should I just follow the owners manual and remove the assembly.

Folks gotta start using the search feature more. Daverman started a kicka$$ thread very recently on this exact thing with awesome instructions and pictures. Go here:

I would suggest going through the splash gaurds. Took me like 15 minutes (got interupted in the middle). All you have to do is remove like 3 clips per side. Use a small screwdriver and pull out the middle of the clip, while holding the outer ring in place. Nice little clips. Reach up, unplug the foglight, twist the bulb out, put the new bulb in, plug the connector back on, then simply put the clips back in the splashgaurd.
I think this way is much easier than looking at the way that thread shows it, but it's your choice. Both do the job.

I found doing it like it says in the manual the better way. Trying to take those clips out sucks, unless you have ramps to drive the
car up on. It took all of 15 minutes to change them by removing the screw like it says in the manual. Checkout the post by Daverman. His pics are dead on. You need an extender to remove the 10mm bolt. It should be at least 4 inches.
