Installed StonGuard light kit last night
For those that are interested I installed the light kit from Stonguard last night. My car is only two months old and the lights have many small nics from the highway driving I do.
The kit was pretty easy to install, only took about 20 minutes and you cannot see them at all. They are about as thick as a quarter, the pic below will show the thickness. I am kind of curious if the hood kit is the same thickness.

I'm thinking about installing light protection kit but I'm concerned about effects on the brightness of the lights. Could you post some pics of your car with the protection kit installed? Also some pics of your headlights turned on at night would help. Tell me if you notice any difference in brightness or sharpness of the light after the installation of the protection kit. Thanks.

Ah oh!!! Beware all, there was a HUGE issue with stne guard on S2000 lights. There were many S2000s whos entire light casing cracked into thousands of lines. They had pictures and it was real bad. They took it to the owner of stone guard and he refused to say it was his fault. Was a nasty situation.

wouldn't the theif who worked hard to bust in and crack open the lens only to see that there is some kind of protection on the bulbs get pissed off and probably do more damage with his crow bar?
I mean if I was him, IF I WAS HIM, i'd get really pissed, i would probably take the lights and screw his car up to say thanks...
is that logical?

turbox777,
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the intent of the light kit is to protect your lights from scratches/chips/cracks from driving and pebbles hitting your lights and such. It isn't intended to prevent people from stealing your lights...
I don't think this makes it any more difficult to steal your headlights, so don't worry about Mr. (or Ms.) thief, he won't have any more trouble doing his/her job

Ive used stonegaurd on my lights and 10 other cars from different manufacturers and I swear by it. Thats weird about that cracking, maybe he used a heat gun to long and then they cooled off too fast.

I have had the stongard kit on my car for over 8 months now, with no problems. I have the whole front end done, door handles, mirrors, all the lights. I do not have any problems like the guy above said with the S2000 issue. And the output of the lights are not affected at all.
