Cool Installed my new sub *pics*

This is an Infinity Basslink. I didn't want to give up my trunk space, but I wanted some Boom Boom!

A closer look!

Re: Installed my new sub *pics*

TypeSDragon, a few questions.

-I see that you mounted the sub in the corner of your trunk. Was that so you could still access the passthrough?
-I know that that unit can be mounted on its side. If your intention was to save trunk space, why did you not mount it in that manner and have the sub fire sideways.
-Could you have mounted on the bottom of your deck lid (where factory dvd normally goes) and still get the same performance and create even more floor space in your trunk?
-Lastly, do you like the sound?
Thanks!

Are you happy with it? Or would you go amp/box/sub if you have
the choice again? I want to add a little base to my system, but
still undecided on what method to go.

Let's see if I can answer some of your questions:

lilboykorea - the basslink cost $225 from ebay. It sounds real loud if I want it to because the volume is adjustable.

DennisA - I mounted the sub over a little to left is because I wanted the use the passthru from the armrest and more room for me to change the controls and wiring (just in case)

- Doesn't really make a difference if you mounted in vertically or horizontally, the sound is the same. I liked the horizontal look so I went with that.

- Mounting on the DVD area require to much work and I think you will need a custom bracket because the sub weight around 10 pounds. :o

- Sounds great, I can change the base manual or through my HU.

Closer - For the money I paid, I am very happy. I have lots of free room and the sound. If I have to do it again, I will still go for the Infinity Basslink. Remember the stock sub will still work and this is like an addon which increase the bass a lot more.

Looks Real good.... I was looking for something along the same lines.... I think that is the route I will take.

Because i am electrically inept, why is there a connection to the battery? WHy a fuse (any other than obvious reason?)

is this a simple attachment for an absolute retard to perform? I am about as mechanical as a typ. engineer If it is easy could you take the time to write directions? (understand if not)
