Exclamation Installation of Fuel Lines

So i take a christmas trip and while im there i find out I have a bit of a leak in my fuel line, got a pinhole leak. I plug it up a bit and make it home, with much worse gas mileage

But, I do find out fuel lines are not that expensive. About $35 from the dealer, I might as well replace the feed & return lines while im doing it anyway.

But I don't have an idea how to start. Anyone got installation instructions from the service manual or just tips so I don't screw it up?

Also, how do I release fuel pressure, just remove the gas cap?

Thanks!

I dont have the manual here but i have remove mine before (from the engine) and they arent that hard. The hardest part is undoubtedly going to be the routing of them.

Yeah I think ill take some pictures of what goes exactly where so I dont have to redo the routing. Sucks that alot of the bolts are rusted so that might become an issue with breaking bolts and all that...

Called the dealer and it looks like the return line is on backorder... crap! Oh well might as well take it apart anyway and use my girlfriend's car for some time...

Hmm.. supose you're right, its not like a monumental task in getting to it all, if the other one springs a leak then I replace as necessary.

Still dont know how to release fuel pressure though...

pull the fuel pump fuse and start the car- when it runs out of gas and stops- zero fuel pressure~
thats how I did it on a maxima and that was per the book!
