Info. needed 03 type s

Hi every one. i recently sold my wifes acura integra in order to buy her a tl. i have done a little reserch on these cars. in order to find there problems recalls ect. the only real problem i see is the tranny warrentied until 109k. the one i am looking at has 88k 03 tl type s black tan int.navi dealer will supply "extended warrenty". i checked it out today dealer was closed but i sawit was lowerd, cross drilled sloted rotors, mugen rear spoiler. i will go tomorow talk numbers with the dealer (14,500). also i found modified rear wheel wells the inside lip.. since the car is lowerd dont kno what springs they were silver, i was thinking H&R's .. car dosnt look camberd out. i will supply more info and how much car should go for..also things i should look for..i wouldnt pay more then 12k for it. but we will see what happens. thanks. i hope to read any info.. ill have pics tomorow. and im still searching for more information.

thanks i am definitly going to work on that price.. ive been looking for a black one with tan int for about 3 weeks now.. i found decent ones or regular tl non type s.. she really wants tan int.. theres a lot of silvers she dosnt want that and whites dosnt like the color.. so black is a winner..any oil leaks i should look for in certain spots.. what gear do the trannys maily messup on or slip.. or do they just go bad car dosnt move?

Im not sure about that i only have 65k on mine when i bought it i had 63k got it in september. Yea listen for the belts and look to see if any oil is dripping. White those are the best colors WDP! I was looking for a TL for about a month and finally i called my dealership and they said lets see if we can find one and they did. Thats how mine came stock with those ugly rims LOL!

Are you positive that the extended warranty applies? The 2003 model year is unique in that not all TLs are covered by the extended warranty. Coverage depends on the car's VIN number.

That looks so mint, and with some tasteful worthwhile mods. Tranny has already been replaced as well...You've found quite the deal there; hopefully you can get him down to a good price for you.

All the best, and if you make the deal, welcome to the forums!

Well if it is in fact a mugen you are very lucky if you are getting it for under 1k. That is the premium they are fetching.

price is a little high...but car looks really clean. I see he mounted tweeters in the doors too..looks nice.

Good that tranny has already been dealt with.

Make sure both heated seats work...one thing I didnt check on mine before purchasing.

wow, mugen wing, like the moderator said that's like $1k right there!! And sway bars springs, and intake are about $200-$300 each set (used). I'm not sure about the price for the brakes though.

It's a really sweet car and you will have a lot of fun modding it! If I were you I would buy the OEM body/lip kit (perhaps you can ask the dealer if they have it and if they will include it, if you are lucky).

Awesome, good to know that you are getting the lip kit! Once the lip kit is on, you may want to change out the exhaust tips as the stock ones will look tiny and out of place. You can go cheap (like me) and get some 3A (or 3A style) tips (mine are slanted 3.5" and I think they looK great without being ricey) for like $30. Or if you prefer, get the ATLP cat-back exhaust, but that's $950 and your wife probably doesn't want it..lol..

Oh..perhaps you can also to blackout headlights too!

he will give you blackouts? What do you mean? The films? I'm talking about painting the inside of the headlight housing.

Wow, her integra is pretty low...

and please correct me if I'm wrong, but is that a sunbeam?
