Infiniti G35 Exhaust on a TL??
Hi Guys,
I am not sure if this is possible but this is what I am thinking. I love the Infiniti G35 stock exhaust and I removed the mid resonator off my car hoping it would sound exactly like the G35 but it doesn't. I wondering if it is possible to put a Infiniti G35 exhaust on my TL.??

the g35 sound isnt completely from the exhaust so even if you did that, which i dont think is possible, it wouldnt sound like it. the closest your gunna get is to remove both mid mufflers not just one, or get a comptech exhaust with both mid mufflers

Someone already made a thread about this a little while ago and what lopez is saying is true. Its not the exhaust exactly that makes that sound, its the car itself. The engine and the components and everything make it sound different than our car.

Yup, the J32 isn't gonna sound like the VQ35. Close maybe, but the exhaust from a G35/350Z won't do it. The Tanabes are pretty close tho.

that woulda been pretty cool if all we had to do was remove the mid resonator to make our car's sound like a G35/350Z....
i was kinda thinking of trading in the TL for a 350Z the other day.... sounds so sexy

Either sell the TL, and get a G35/350z, or swap the drivetrain and exhaust into your TL.
Personally I like the way my J32A2 sounds over the VQ35. IMO it's deeper, more agressive.

lol...this is funny, some ppl think the VQs sound nasty, others want their TL to sound like one.
i personally think the J-Series V6 sounds way nicer than the VQ...it's very unique and distinctive, and when you're revving it to redline it sounds intoxicating...i definatly prefer it over the G35/350Z...but hey, that's me.
