Indiglo Gauges: Help Decide Layout/Color Scheme!

An indiglo gauge development!!!
I know we have all waited a long time and I know it sucks. 
I've been talking with 4IG and they are working on getting them to us. I will, of course, post as soon as I hear any ETA. I should be able to post the blueprints of our gauges they will use to make the indiglo gauges soon.
But, I was talking about 4IG about something different. They have a new product. It is a mixture between reverse indiglo and regular indiglo gauges. In essence, they are exactly like the reverse indiglo gauges we originally ordered, except you can flip a switch and the whole face plate that is normally silver also glows, like the GS400! So if you want to run them with just the markings glowing, you can. But if you want to, you can flip a switch and the markings and the whole face plate will glow!
There are 2 colors the face plate can glow: blue or hyper white. This can also be changed at the flip of a switch.<br><br>There is only one hang up -- they haven't tested it with a silver face yet. The face of these gauges allows lights behind them to shine through in certain places. This is so we don't need cutouts for lights like low fuel and check engine. That lights are not seen at all unless they are shining through the face.
The problem may be that the silver indiglo face plate may not allow these lights to shine through very easily. This has not yet been determined. They have successfully created gauges with a white indiglo face plate and they lights shine through just fine there. I will let you guys know if we can get these with the originally agreed upon silver face!
4IG is discussing letting us get these "combo" reverse indiglo/regular indiglo gauges instead of the normal reverse indiglo gauges we originally bought, for no extra cost! Is this something you guys would be interested in?
I really want to get them in silver because thats what everyone originally bought. But would you guys be willing to get the combo gauges with a white face if we are unable to get them in silver?

I think the ones that we ordered would be more tight. I wouldn't use the full indiglo function anyways. Plus the silver face would look much better than the white gauges.

Do you have/can you get a pic of the gauge in white?

I would prefer white but silver is good too. And I like the idea about the combinatin of both regualr and reverse indiglos. Man I cann't wai to get the guages.

I'm not buying guages but in my opinion, I think silver faces are nicer. I had white guages in my 1st gen and I felt they looked a little ricey. Silver is more unique.

Does this mean that they have not made our gages yet? I say white or silver, whatever is quickest. I like the indiglo feature as well as the reverse indiglo. My brother has a gs 300 and his gages look great. Let's just get off TDC on this, please!

I have also purchased 2 sets of gauges. I have also seen the 4IG gauges in silver on a civic, and to be honest with you they don't shine as bright as the white ones do! Also we need to take into consideration that the original indiglo was the first generation of the colored gauges, then came along the reverse gauges, and now they are willing to give us the newest thing out on the market at the same cost. We have all waited so long why do we want something that is already getting played out. If I understood Nates post correctly this is what I picture: White face with blue and red numbers with a superwhite background (like the needles on the lexus) to me that seems really phat.
I am going to SEMA at the end of the month, and I am sure that this will be one of the new hot items for the year. I am also sure they have already made sets for the civic and accord that they will be reveiling at the show. If this drags on til then I will happily report on what these gauges look like. I would definately think it would be a good idea to get the new combo gauges.

Well... since everyone had already agreed on silver faced gauges and everyone has already paid for the gauges in silver, I'd say its too late to try and get them with white faces. But if 4IG can do the combo gauges in silver then I will give them the go ahead to send us the combo gauges. For those that don't want the face lit they don't have to turn it on. For the rest of us, we're getting an extra feature that should turn out to be very cool!

Well, after submitting the changes to 4-IG we wanted done in this thread, I've found that we have full control over what the gauges will look like, as well as what colors will be used! For instance, we can completely do away with red on the gauges, or just use it for redline, or etc.
I vote we keep some red on the gauges. Our needles are red and will match the red on the gauges. All blue looks a little washed out. Note that the only colors we get to play with are red and blue.
Lets try and decide on any layout tweaks and on a color scheme. If we can't come to a majority decision then to be fair we'll just go with the originally planned upon design (with the minor layout tweaks already discussed here).
The first draft:

I like the second pic with the blue numbers and the red tick marks. I think red needles sweeping over blue numbers gives a more contrasting and cooler effect. Plus there will be more blue to shine from the gauges.
If not, the original is cool too. Can't wait to get these bad-A gauges!
