Question indiglo gauge diy?

i see hzm's diy writeup but was wondering if anyone knows of another? (perhaps with more pictures) it seems like the writeups are a lil older and alot of the images linked (specifically songoku's) are no longer available. i have some gauges coming and am just trying to trick myself into thinking i know what im doing

also the gauge cluster removal faq that used to be here is that .. alive?

how much leeway do you have with the gauge needles. they seem to move around but how far is .. too far?

also, i cant seem to get my gauges off the rest of the cluster by themselves. I'm not sure if that matters, I cant really see why it would other than mobility or something.

lastly, does anyone (i know tatewaki has them) have the procarparts glow gauges? if so how did you handle the wiring? my invertor box that came with the gauges have 7 fem connectors on them but there are only 3 (1 for each gauge), what gives?
also, did they come with doublesided tape?

i installed mine with out removing the gauges from the cluster. the needles can move all teh way around if thats what you are asking. my gauges were from the group buy, but it didnt matter which order i plugged them in. mine had the double sided tape, you just have to be careful where you put it so that you dont have your needles bind because they are touching the gauges

ok thanks. i found some tape here at the house, i feel unspecial since these didnt come with any haha anyways. i think my biggest confusion now is why my invertor box has 7 connectors (4 extra?!).

im assuming i just use a female fuse panel connector thing on the red line and plug into slot 3 on the fuse panel and ground the other out ?

what kind of connector is on that wire (red tip)? a male spade connector or?

also i noticed my double sided tape is 'removable', should it be 'permanent' or 'removable'? and if permanent wouldnt an easier/similar solution be to glue the gauges on?

yea the red connector is a female.
i cant help ya witht he connections. mine had like 6 but it didnt matter which ones i used. i used the ones that were in closest order to the inverter. make sure the double sided tape is really thin. it has to be other wise the needles are going to get stuck as they move. yea the tape that came with mine is removable

so a female spade connector? or .. im know where the sockets on the fuse panel are but i need this piece still and dont really know what it is called. is it a direct fit?

i was lookin at perm vs removable and my only worry was over time with heat and cold and such if they would begin to unstick.

yeah i figured that i'd just plug em in and they were there if maybe something needed it later. where'd you mount the invertor box?

thanks!

for the fuse panel just use a female tab type conector on #3 fuse. there is a spot for it to plug in. it wont come loose or unstuck.
i mounted the inferter box under the dash, near the instrament cluster
