Important question about oil

Important question about oil

I want to start changing the oil by myself but I dont know what should I do with used oil.
Can someone tell me?

many local manucipalities have drop off places for oil, call your local township to find out. also many car parts places will accept used oil too

most places u buy the oil at like autozone and or napa take the old oil back. I buy the castrol 5 quart thingy and just pour the old oil in that and bring it back to autozone, its free.

I would also call my local Kragen or Autozone ahead to make sure oil tank is not full.

i know here in NY, registered vehicle repair garages also have to accept used oil, but they can designate certain days of the week you can only drop it off. call around and ask. most places will be happy to help you.

Find the number for the call center. These great people can answer ALL of your used oil questions.

I take mine to the local quick-lube place. Call around to see you will recycle your used oil for free.
