I'm New Here !
A few weeks ago I got my 1999 navi 3.2tl with 133k miles on it, so far I thinks its a very well built machine. I put this thing on I95 and it can really cruise @ 100, I been checkin out these fourms for a min now and I figure I'd join you guys. The only mod I did so far was the hdd to dvd navi conversion. My first car was a 92 accord

FYI: Before anything, make sure you keep an extra $2k or so on the side as backup money.. you never know when you'll need it later on in time
...you'll see.
By the way, how good of a deal did you get on the car? I got mine @119k for $9,000 over a year ago.

I went from a 2 door 91 Accord EX to the 99 TL Navi=I put 250,000 on the Accord. The only problems mechanically with the Accord were things just wearing out. I sold it with 304,000 since I had bought it used with 54,000 on it. The engine still ran like new and had never been touched internally. What a great car the Accord was.
As I was driving home last night in my TL at 70 miles per hour, I realized once again how QUIET it is. Not a rattle and it's 8 years old with 67,000 miles on it. Although the Accord was easier to drive, the TL has everything and much more feature wise than the Accord. More nice stuff like heated seats, awesome engine, better ride and handling and lots more. I'm sure you will enjoy yours also!

Yea I was doing about 100 up i95 and it really did not feel like I was going that fast, it felt as if I were going 30 or something, it feels alot different from my old accord, by the way for all those who are wondering, I got the car for $7500, its in very good shape, I filled in all the little rock chips with factory paint and clear coat. The tranny has been worked on once, but I strongly believe it was because someone was towing something at somepoint because I saw a trailor hitch witch I took off, the tranny was done by this place called "Cottman Transmission", anyone every heard of them or been there, and how good is their work? just wondering...

Good to see another newbie. I joined the site this week, and purchased my '03 TL-S just before Thanksgiving. With all the stories of how long a Honda/Acura will last, I'm planning many mods as mine only has 36k. So far, I've only put a trunk lip spoiler on, but I will be de-badging her this weekend and having the windows tinted next week. After that I thinking about dropping it, exhaust, headers, and intake, just haven't figured the order and when finanically when I will be able to do. Keep me updated with your customizations. Hope you enjoy the TL, I love mine already.

Cottman Transmission is a Nationwide Franchise outfit. Their warranty is valid at all locations. See the transmission failure threads for warning signs it makes on the way out. Noise, slippage etc.

Welcome!! Consider this a fair warning. Over the next year or two, you'll find yourself having less money by browsing this forum. I had a lot of extra money and soon after looking at this site, I began modding after seeing all the potential our cars have with some modificatinos It's ok though, my fellow Acuraziner's provide support and encourage me to keep making me buy stuff!!! LOL!
