Angry I'll try again....

So I asked a few months ago about the side view mirror assembly...and I still can't figure this shit out, so I'm hoping someone can toss me an idea out, or just knows how to solve my problem...Sorry for asking again, but it seems like such an easy job but its aggravating me like crazy.

Someone threw a ball at my passenger side view mirror and cracked the glass. I bought a new piece of glass, and cannot get it to snap back onto the actuator. I had the dealer look at it when I went for an oil change 2 weeks ago, and they said it would be $160 to put it on (effin RIP OFF!)

So anyway, I went ahead and had them order a new actuator, figuring I'm missing a part from that (the dealership said I couldn't order pieces from the actuator, and would have to buy it as a whole unit which is a lie) but anyway, I went in with my current actuator, glass, and other parts and compared it to the new one I had them order.....I have all the parts, but it will won't pop in.

The glass is shown below, the two shafts pop into the actuator...

Here is the actuator, the shafts go into those two holes...

This is the glass connected to the actuator at those two points....It definitely seems logical that there should be another connection point in the middle (seen in the middle of the picture) but there is no other parts or anything that comes with the actuator, or the mirror.....here is the diagram...

Based on what I'm seeing in the photos above, you need to insert the lip of the shafts into the holes, which appears to me should hold the mirror piece in place. Does this not work or can you not get the lip inserted?

Looks like Something has to be missing. Is there a part that is attached to the old mirror that fits into that ball/socket?
