Unhappy Idle issue

I noticed my tl idling funny yesterday, it seem like it wanted to turn off. but it only happened once, this morning i took it for a spin, and it shut off while idling. once i put it in drive, it goes and no problem. But once i turn it off, then back on the car turns off. Could this be an ignition issue-the part was never replaced under the warranty. The car runs fine, except for the idling. Car only has 27000. Any advice or suggestion will be appreciated.

Does the RPM drop when this happens? Does the engine run rough?

is it a 99? those had the ignition switch recall--talk to your dealer if it wasnt done before.

does wiggling the key make a differance, cause it to stop engine

Yes i called the dealer and told me to bring it in, because it was never changed. no wiggling needed. the rpms drop too much and it turns off. starting it back on and giving it gas for a few seconds stops it. i have no idea what could it be, but the dealer is giving me a loaner, because apparently this takes a bit.
