Icebox & Torque Converter Lockup

From what I understand, many torque converters delay locking up in cold weather to warm up the car more quickly. One of the techs at my local dealer told me that there are three temperature sensors in the TL that are used to determine when the torque converter should lock up and one of those sensors is in the intake.

I just got my TL-S, am considering a CT Icebox (for the first mod) and am curious as to whether or not it would cause the torque converter to delay locking up because the intake air is colder. Unfortunately the tech could not answer this question with 100% certainty. The reason I ask is that I have experienced significant decreases in fuel economy and a lack of responsiveness in other vehicles I have owned when the torque converter is slow to lockup during cold weather.

Has anybody with an Icebox or other CAI experienced any changes in the behavior of the torque converter after adding the modification?

Thanks for your help.

Did he said, where in the intake is this sensor located? I never heard of that, not saying is not true, just never heard of it.

No, unfortunately I didn't think to ask him where. I assume it would be part of the mass airflow but that is just a guess.
