Guys, what is the deal with the comptech icebox. What and how does it produce 14hp more than the stock intake. The pics on this site dont show too much but I wanted to see how it draws cold air.

 

The stock intake is very restrictive and does not provide very smooth flow.

The comptech Icebox pulls cold air in from in front of the left wheel well and feeds a injection molded box. Inside of that box sits a cone filter connected to smooth flowing piping direct to the throttle body. Once you pull out the stock intake, you can see why there's a HP gain.
