IAC Valve Change

I did some searching and couldn't find anyting, i need to clean my IAC Valve and i just wanted to know can you take it off without taking apart the TB or you have to take apart the TB to do it. the car would drop rpms and just shut down sometimes....a couple of good revs gets it started

I already did the IM cleaning last year so that's good.

I removed mine without taking the TB or intake off. I used a shorty screw driver If you take any thing off to change it take the upper intake manifold off and clean the EGR ports again while your at it. That gasket is reusable, but the TB gasket isnt

How politically correct.

Is this recommended to do every now and then? I recently had my timing belt/water pump done (w00t to free labor and cost on parts!) by my friend whose a Honda tech and ever since my idle is slightly, and I mean very slightly (as to the point where someone who wasn't as anal as me wouldn't notice), rougher than it was prior to the new parts.
