I want comptech...please advise!
I guess I've finally heard enough of you rave about comptech, so I gotta have it too.
O.K., this may sound dumb after all this time, but I want to be sure...
Where should I buy the springs and sways, how much should I expect to pay, and can I have my dealer install them to ensure there is no warranty issue?
thanks in advance for the info

Where should I buy the springs and sways, how much should I expect to pay, Point your mouse cursur to the top of this page on the "Suspension" button. Great prices, great service.
and can I have my dealer install them to ensure there is no warranty issue? You can if you enjoy paying more than necessary for installation. Unless you totally mess up (you would have to try hard to mess up), you can't hurt anything that would affect your warranty. They're not that hard to install. A lot of people just do it themselves, but if you're not up to it then just have a decent garage/mechanic/tire shop do it. It will be easy for them with a lift and the right tools. Lowering your car might change your wheel alignment slightly also. After you get new spings installed, drive the car for a week to let them settle, then have an alignment done.

You can purchase Comptech springs and sways from this site. Click on "suspension" up on top. As for the warranty issue, I know that Park Ave Acura in NJ does comptech mods to acuras w/out voiding warranty.
You should expect to pay around $300 for springs and $325 for sways shipped.

I had my comptech springs installed from a place in Pomona called Hocks Honda Acura specialist. They installed all four springs for 150 bucks :wow:. Thats a pretty good price I think. You can get all the parts from this website. I actually got my springs from someone who was selling them from the "For Sale/Wanted" forum.

I headed down to Park Ave to get it installed because the dealers up here wouldn't do the install. Call your local dealers and ask if they do it.
I would have ordered the parts from this site, but instead I purchased them directly from Park Ave since they were the same price and no shipping charges Well, springs were a few bux more than this site, but not much. They have their prices on their homepage http://www.parkaveacura.com -> Click on Comptech on the left.
Enjoy them when/if you get them!

you are in LA, definitely get it from Tim. i got it really fast and the price is excellent. you can't go wrong with tim.
for installation, don't worry, no matter who you ask to install the parts, it won't void your warranty. there is a law stating that unless the dealer can prove that certain faults are directly due to your mods they can't do anything about it.
you are in LA, maybe you can try to go it at Impex in Monterey Park. i installed my sways and springs there together for 160 bucks, can't beat that price. if you wnat pm me and i can give you more info (you probably need internal reference to get the price, hehe).

Why not go for the Neuspeed sways and some other springs? Whereas you'll pay $625 for springs and sways from comptech...why not get, the neuspeed sways for $280 shipped, and the H&R Sport Springs for $165...it'll end up saving you $180...not only that but Comptech outsources, and buying their springs may mean you end up buying repackaged Eibach, Neuspeed, or H&R (like my Goodrich, I mean, Comptech Brake Lines). Or do you just want to have the Comptech (haha) name?

Makes for a slightly softer ride up front with the Ctech's.

now I want my car to have that "lowered" look. when people see my car, they don't realize that its dropped - this is what I initially wanted, but my preferences have changed, i guess (too much FnF )
but i'll make do with what i have.
