About 2 weeks ago I was down at the local spot I go to on the weekends, its called Metor, anyone heard of it(mainly people from MD)?? Anyway, I got in a race with a 240sx that had a Silvia motor swap he recienly finished. Well, everyone had been talking about how fast he is and I wanted to race him to see where he was at. So we started from a rolling start and he basically got the jump because I was in SS and it was at about 15 mph so the tranny had to down shift and he had a 5spd. We raced up to 95mph and he only pulled about one and a half to two cars on me. After the race we stopped and he said that he paid 8000$ for the swap, thats REDICLOUS!!!! I was happy cause with 8000 I could rebuild my engine and run a 150 shot of NOS and destory him. I was pleased...

 

Where is Metor? What area of MD? Anyhow, a NA engine is better for every day driving though. But its all up to the individual driver in what they want to run with.

I still don't see the point of these stupid engine swaps anyway. He could have used the $8k to buy a bette, faster car.

You've gotta be kidding me, a SR20DET engine swap alone will run mid-high 6's and with 2 grand in catback, downpipe, boost controller, intake, he's easily running 13's. I have no doubt in your story, I just think that mofo paid waaaay too much.
