I need some help please.

I've searched a lot and I can't find anything so don't bitch at me. I'm trying to paint the chrome part of my grill on my 03 NBP TL-S and I have some questions. First of all, I read that it's not possible to take off the grill for the 03' so the grill mod is out of the question. Second, how reliable is painting the chrome part. I read if you sand it a lot and use a good etch primer it will be fine? I think I just want to paint the outer chrome part only NBP and leave the inside part with the emblem chrome. Everything i searched is about the 99-01 so can anyone help me out with a DIY. Post some pictures too please, of NBP preferably.. all the old pictures don't show up. Thanks

I would take it off and sand it really well. When you think you have sanded it really good, go ovr it again. then get a good etching primer and prime it. (lots of light coats) then wetsand primer smooth, and look for areas that may need to be reprimered. If every thing is ok paint away

As for grille removal, it is possible. The chrome part of the grille is attached to the bumper by those plastic clips but the go up from the bottom so you would have to pull the grille back a little bit and see if you can reach your hand down in there. Maybe these pics will help a little.

I figured out how to take everything apart today. I just need to go buy all the primer and get the paint matched now. Does anyone have any pictures of the mod on NBP? Thanks.
