Arrow I need this question answered ....

If I purchase an extended warranty, do I have to have all the regular scheduled service interval maintenance done at the Acura dealership for them to honor it and not tell me later that I didn't properly maintain the car resulting in a problem???? Please respond if you've actually had work done under extended warranty.
Thanks!

I have the extended warranty as well but I do have all my services done at the dealer. I get my oil changed elsewhere but the major mileage tuneups I do at Acura, just to be safe. I don't trust many guys out there so I rather pay a little more to stay on the safe side. Sorry that I can't answer your question but I hope my thought helped.

Nope. I bought the extended warranty (to 75k) on my 1998 CL and I brought it in a few times during the extended warranty period and I had no problems even though I never brought my car in for one service to a dealer.....

I believe as long as you have the record of other shops doing the work then it's ok, but you gotta ask the dealer to make sure.

You need to keep ALL of your service receipts and they need to be done at Acura's recommended schedule.
They may ask for your receipts of maintenance peformed. If you missing 1 receipt, they have the right to refuse warranty repairs.

Yep. Just keep the receipts and you will be fine. If you do your own work, keep any receipts for supplies purchased (oil, etc). Also, a maintenance log goes a long way towards showing you keep the vehicle in shape.
