I have this problem that occurs when i drive sometimes and i am coming to a stop, it feels like the car still wants to go, then i put it into neutral, and my rpm's are going up to 3000 then back down to 1000 then back up , then back down, and it has been happening more and more, has anyone had this problem?
Is it the computer?
should i be concerned, it happens maybe 2, or 3 times a month, sometimes more, and it is random!

 

Wow. Deja Vue! I had this exact same problem with a Jetta years ago. I never quite figured it out. It was a fuel problem of some sort and computer related. The problem was, because of the random occurances, the dealer or private mechanics never where able to fix it. I would get it to the dealer so you are on record with the problem. Then if they cannot locate the cause, you have recourse with Acura. Hopefully, you will have better luck than I did with VW.

 

I had this type of problem on my T-bird. Ended up being the throttle position sensor and the air bypass valve. If I were you, I'd do what TomGum is saying and bring it to the dealer and have it looked at and recorded. Good Luck!
