SVT Miata and a Pathfinder GT-R to name a few I've seen of the rather bad ones. HILARIOUS, but disgraceful and tasteless.

the yaris S is just a trim package. An "S" trim level upgrade for the sedan comes with a rear window defroster, 15-inch wheels, a ground-effects kit, 60/40-split folding rear seat and a CD/MP3 player with an auxiliary input jack. there is no performance advantage for the S not even upgraded suspension.

yea, and it's not a "Type-S", it's just an "S", i havn't seen anyone other than Honda/Acura the Type-S/Type-R....Jaguar have the "Type" thing but their letter is b4 the "Type" and it indicates a model, not a trim.....

Yeah but obviously they are trying to fool you into thinking your getting a sporty car. Don't like toyotas really. Great cars and very reliable, just don't do it for me. They should bring back the Supra.

At least their trying. A lot of companies namely toyota didn't offer any "sporty" options a couple years back. Either way if you want solid gas mileage and can't afford a car that costs 30g's then this is a good option.

And your right... this post belongs in car talk or ramblings.

I heard that there was a Yugo Type R back in 1987 - it had 68hp instead of the base 62hp.... lol

Why you say that? I never owned one but they are pretty fast from what I hear and handle decent. Besides that toyota does not make anything real sporty, they quit makind the MR-2.
