The Tachometer on top of everyone's screen is revving at redline....Not the greatest thing to do, but the fact that the tach is showing the car that's revving to nearly 8 grand in "park" is really not good!

I didn't try it. I gleaned it by reading the service manual.

 

I tried it when testing the sound of my CAI. It definitely doesn't go above 5k, even in neutral.

 

I was wondering how long it would take for aomeone to notice that!

 

I also noticed that your posts are down to just over 750....what gives?

 

I sent 2 wrong intake colors to 2 members of the forum, I loose 500 posts with every mistake, and gain one post with every correct order. Its the new count system

Never mind; just spoke with Andrew, and he fixed the prob.

 

... but not in park. I'm used to driving a stick and when doing some 0-60 runs (ok, racing)... I accidently pulled the SS stick back - like you would from 1st to 2nd - instead of forward to shift up. It revved to like 7000 or something before I realized I screwed up. I'm assuming this isn't the end of the world and I don't plan on doing it again, but some reassurance would be appreciated. Thanks

oh yeah, I'm pretty sure the gas cut out as a safety measure - or was that just my foot flying off the pedal?

why is there a photoshopped pic of a tach at the top of this page that is going beyond redline and even beyond the rev limiter? Also the check battery and low oil pressure light is on.

besides the fact that this picture is obviously fake,
nobody really wants to do such a stupid thing in real life. It makes tl drivers look like a bunch of asses.

also, the gear is in 1; not even in sportshift mode.

Hey wait a sec. I was driving in SS tonight when I noticed that the "D5" light stayed on when you shift to SS. So here's the corrected picture:

 

How about putting a speedometer next to the tach? Let's say
