What should I do since the car is jacked up right now...I'm bored cuz my ride is up on stilts and I can't go anywhere. What else can I paint under there? haha...
well, let me know what you guys think.

paint the rusted part of the rotor....if u get it on the actual rotor that touches the brake pad, the brake pad will wipe the excess off anyways...i painted my rotors n calipers black.

i colored the little brake pad tab too. it gives it a move complete look. it wont affect the pad or rotor so ggo for it!
also, just go out and buy black caliper paint, its only like 4-5 dollars. painting the parts of the rotors that are rusted willl definitly help make it look cleaner.

thanks guys. i think i'll get that black caliper paint and paint the rusted rotors.
mike_mcCready, so you CAN paint over the pads? i'm sure it won't affect performance...i'll do that when i get the chance this weekend as well...w000h000!
i used the duplicolor kit, in red of course, and unfortunately i didn't have enough cleaner to do the rear, so i will do that sometime next week as well. yay yay!

I was just thinking of getting my calipers painted, well powdercoated, but I didnt know what parts shouldnt get painted...and I didnt know you could just paint the rotors. Please post pics and exactly what can be painted and how. my calipers and rotors are killing my car now, such an eye sore.

I'm planning on painting my caliper too. Just bought BBQ grill paint (flat black) @ walmart. It says up to 1200F. Will this work on the caliper and the rotors? Mine is rusted at the back (metal in between the rotor and the rims).

i dunno bout the bbq grill stuff, but as long as you can paint on ceramic it's fine. mine is rusted as well...going to get some black caliper paint to paint those parts as well on the insides ...
cubanmix, you don't paint rotors, you paint the calipers. unless you meant you can just plainly put it on without taking off the calipers, then yea...its the type where you brush on, not spray. some people have sprayed on but masked the areas around it off with newspaper and masking tape. whichever you do, it'll turn out great
the part that gets painted is the piece where the pads go on. shouldn't be too hard to tell from the box of caliper paint
all in all, i love the look.

Alright, got some black caliper paint and did my fronts....Absolutely love it. You vant even notice the caliper anymore(which was the purpose) and it looks alot cleaner now. Now all I have to do is get new centercaps.
