Unhappy I don't have a TLS anymore

Well my car went on fire this morning at Park Ave Acura. Somone had broken in to their garage and set the garage on fire. My car and two others went on fire. This really sucks! I hope everyone at Park Ave is ok.

Damn...what's wrong with people? Breaking in and then setting businesses on fire?? It is sick....

Let's hope all at Park Ave is alright, and damn....all the best sorting out the issues with the car situation. I hope insurance will pick it up for you.

Yeah, this is a huge mess now. I had the Sheriff of NJ call my house and he questioned me. He asked if I set it on fire or if I hired someone to put it on fire!!!!! I can't believed this happened!!!!!

I don't know what to say about that... they expect the person that did it to go "oh yeah, that was me... why?". I guess they have to start somewhere.

I would most definitely look at dealers who have lost business to Park Ave Acura, and also to customers that are trying to make a quick buck from the insurance company.

Wayne and Jens, you don't have disgruntled employees, do you?

OMFG!

So sorry to hear about your car and PAA.

BTW, how bad was the damage to the garage and to all the cars?

And I remembered someone was asking about PAA and why there were so many fire trucks and cops around there.

Which dealer was that complaining that everyone praises Park Ave? Was it Montclair Acura?

Heres the latest- the investigators think is was probably arson. The fire was small, but very smoky-sooty and confined to a small area in the rear of the shop by the car wash machine. We had 4 cars in the shop unfortunately, 2 customer and 2 of ours one of the customers being Carfreaks! Ben- I am sorry- you know we will do whatever is neccssary. None of them was burned, but they are filled with soot and ash- don't know if they can be cleaned. Our insurance will cover whatever is neccessary for them I'm told. The building is fine- 1 broken window, the car wash machine 1/2 melted and lots, lots of soot. The tech tools and equiptment look allright. The cleaning company says it will take about a week to get everthing done, but we should be up an running partially in a couple of days.

I apologize to anyone who had an appointment with us today- they would not let us in the building and we could not notify anyone not to come. If you have an appointment any time this week- please call tomorrow so we can work out a schedule to take care of what ever you need.

Thank god no one was hurt, cars and buildings can be cleaned or replaced. Thanks also to every one who has sent their best wishes to us- we appreciate your support. We'll be back, cleaner than ever, in a short while.!

Please don't bash anyone over this. The police are worinkg on finding the perps.

Park Ave said I will get a new car, but I dont think I would get another acura. Time for something else. Right now I'm renting a 2002 Camry because my car had gotten broken into on Wed and it was being repaired at Park Ave. I will get the rest of the info later. I just hope everything works out ok. I also hope I get all my extra money I've spent on the car.

It may sound outlandish but I wouldn't be that surprised if somebody connected to Montclair actually tried to sabotage another business.

we have a right to speculate, but lets make sure we don't accuse.

a-tl.com doesn't need any slander law suits

Though it is possible that another dealership, like Montclair, or any dealership for that matter could have done or be connected with something like this, i doubt it extremly, i just dont think that a dealership could be that bitter about them possibly taking bussness away from them to do this. I would think they would be more profesional then that....I would hope so at aleast.

I agree with Crzy Acura. IN CarFreak's other post in the TL-S forum. Wayne replied to that thread, and he said it appears to be arson. So there is a hater out there.

Are you for real? For expressing my own opinions on a board...Acura-tl.com can get hit with a suit? There is something wrong with that right there...

Well here's the info on my car:

I went to Park Ave Acura last night to look at the damage on my car. When I 1st went in there, my car was covered in soot. I then popped the trunk open and there was soot all over. I then opened my car door and there was soot and ashes all over! Not even a single inch was ok. I then ejected my cd's out of the player and all 6 of them were covered in soot! Even my glove compartment and sunglass holder was covered in soot!!!!!!!!!! I can't imagine my car being fixed/cleaned up. I hope Park Ave's insurance adjuster totals my car, cuz I don't want my $35k just being cleaned up. I shall find out what the insurance company says this evening. Wish me luck!

Suing a-tl will be a lost cause, but that doesn't mean they won't. Lawsuits have a tendency to splatter like mud on a brick wall. Don't get too close!

Let me get this straight, Park Aves Insurer has said they will pay for you're vehicle? If so great, if not, perhaps you're Insurer should become involved, at least advise them on this.

You will likely be dealt better with, by you're own Insurer. You may also get paid more if you're car is totaled, and you have the depreciation waiver, (for new vehicles).

I wonder why Park Aves Insurers would pay at all, unless they are neglegent in some way, of which there is no indication of.

To Wayne, do you, know Park Aves Insurers position in this matter?

BTW, if I was Park Aves adjuster, I would just tell all the vehicles owners to call their own Insurers, who could later go after Park Aves Insurers, if their is any negligence. BTW, I am an adjuster.
