Those 2 lights dont mean its the tranny.(persay) On the TL often times when the Check engine light comes on the TCS light does also. Bring it to a auto parts store (if your past warranty) and or the dealer and let them scan it and find out what its for. When the tranny on our cars is about to give up its life the the D5 light will blink. None of my 4 failures had those lights come on without the D5 light coming on with it. But i have had those 2 lights come on for afew other issues

As long as you're covered under warranty, I wouldn't be too upset if it does end up being the transmission. I had mine replaced last month and the car is shifting MUCH more smoothly. Good luck...
