Hydrolocking???

I just removed my intake resonator...I took everything off of it including the 3-4" tube that connects the resonator to the bottom of the airbox...should I do anything else to prevent water from getting up there? I doubt I'll be driving through any puddles that deep, but just in case...are there any precautions I should take?

yeah, unless you plan on using your tl like an amphibious vehicle, don't worry about it.

Before you go asking anyone if they've ever hydrolocked with your setup, ask if ANYONE has ever hydrolocked with a CAI WITHOUT a bi-pass valve. You'll notice you won't get very many answers...and from those that do, it'll be of "stories" of "friends of friends" of "different cars". Get the drift?

my cousin had one of the newer eclipses and he had cai on it. he went over a puddle that wasnt even that deep and the enigne sucked up SOME water. after that, the car never ran the same.

if you are worried about hydrolocing the engine with the resonator removed, the amount of water you would have to drive through to do that would hydrolock the engine even with the resonator installed

Sounds good everyone...makes me feel much better...thanx! lol...but AcuraTLS03....perhaps the eclipse is setup differently? I know that the eclipses are lower stock than our cars...I guess depending on where the intake is set up...it may suck up some water...
