Hydes TL-S may be no more; I've defected
I've always loved the 540i's, and the new one just doesnt do it for me. I stopped by a few dealers in the last few days, and got a deal on a 2003 Topaz Blue 540i A/T with the full M package that I could not pass up, and if all goes well, I should be picking her up, and trading in my ride sometime next week.
I loved my TL-S, but I've had her for 3 years now, and 42k. All the aftermarket stuff is nice, but its hard to beat a well tuned suspension right from the factory. With the power, accessories, handling, and looks; I definitely feel like I made a step up. The tranny issue was not what forced the decision, but it definitely was a good excuse. :toothless
Now begins the mad dash to remove the Icebox, Headers, EDFC, Sways, Strut bar, HID's, etc, etc, etc, and to try and sell them, and my rims.
Ahh the memories

Good luck with the new car. Definitely a nice choice.
If you are looking to swap your cleared headlights, 6000k 9006 Phillips HID Foglight retrofit, 6000k D2S HID's... Thanks!
Let me know.

Thanx guys.
I've been getting bombarded with PM's about parts for sale, and I just havent had time to figure out what I wanted to get for everything yet. If I didnt reply to a PM, I am not ignoring you, I'm just waiting to figure out what I am going to do.
I just went into the dealer to just see what 540's were going for, and to toss around numbers just for the hell of it. I didnt really have any intention of buying one. I just got a deal on a car I really liked that I didnt want to pass up, so I took the plunge.
Between that, a new P/T job in addition to my F/T one, having some relatives in from out of town for the weekend, and at the same time trying to un mod my car; I've been real busy.
Please leave all inquiries about anything to PM, and not in this main board. Once I figure out what I am selling, and for what price, I will post it up in the 4 sale forum.
To cut down on PM's, allow me to just say this please. The Teins, EDFC, HID's (headlights& fogs), navi conversion kit, and cleared headlights are either not being removed from the car as it is not cost effective for me to do so, or they are not for sale. Thanx again guys, and dont worry, Im not going anywhere as far as the TL community is concerned.

LOL. I'll still be around guys.
Now its getting down to the wire. I have to say, demodding the car was alot quicker than modding it originally LOL. Everything Comptech is off the car; Icebox, Headers, and sways, as are both sets of HID's, Neuspeed Upper Strut bar, Exhaust Tips, License Plate Frame, Inspire Door Sills, Mugen Pedals, and foot well lighting.
Tomorrow is the remainder of the Navi conversion wiring, Blitz adapter, V1 hardwiring, body kit, and other minor stuff.
The dealer and future owner should be happier with the more OEM-like car, and this gets me a head start on mods for the new one. The teins, clear bra, headlights, and upgraded brakes are the only surprise the new owner will have.

LOL Ben, but he'd need power, DVD, and audio sources to get it to work, but still the hard work is all done. Maybe I should remove the switch.
Thanx guys. Car is as back to stock as its gonna get.
Teins, Clear Headlights, EDFC, momo knob, and the video-Nav card are all staying in the car. Everything else is now off the car.
She got her final wash & wax yesterday. That was a little depressing. :bigcry:
Tomorrow after work, Im going straight to the dealership to pick up the new ride. The last few days I've been excited thinking about the 5, but sad when driving the TL-S.
Wonder what it will be like if I ever run into her again in the future driven, or parked by a complete stranger who had no idea how much joy that car provided me, and how much i babied her.
