OK, the thread gives good instructions on how to do it. But when do you change the filter? After 50,000 miles? more? or when it starts to stink?

Service manual (and owners manual) state replace at 30k. Sooner if you live in "high pollutent" area, i.e. dusty back roads of the mid west.

Thanks for the link, but I would appreciate more details, like how to remove the glove box and what to use to cut. I do not want to make something, which is going to rattle later. And how much are those filters?
Thanks guys a lot you are grate as usual.

The price of the filters is about $13.00ea & you need 2. I just had mine replace at the dealership last month. If you can do it yourself do it because the dealer charges $70.00 for labor to install them. I got mine changed at 15K service but the car is nearing 2yrs old.
I use A/C most of the time except winter & I suffer from allergies so thats why I got it changed.
