Im bored at work so I'm going to propose this question to everyone. If you had the chance, how would you make a TL better to sell as stock? Like, annoying little things. Personally, my choices are for the 03 TL

1. I dont have navi so what in the world is that thing between my climate control and the radio?!

2. One touch windows and sunroof...especially the sunroof.

3. Regular size slurpee cups dont fit in my cupholder!! Personally, I like how the maxima has a larger cupholder beneath the regular one. Finally, people start thinkin bout the cupholder...it is one the top 5 most important things when driving.

Thats all I can think of now, but lemme know what you guys think.

I personally dont like the hood on the TLS, how it has a crease down the center, i think i would change that.

I also liked it more when the TL's were a little more boxy looking, at least in the trunk area, like the lexus IS.

I too would make the cup holders a little larger for i can hold my super sized drinks. BTW today in national free slurpee day.


maybe since seeing how so many people do after market things i would follow the IS's lead and make the car look more aftermarket when it is stock. ie tails.

Hmm...you can make your sunroof one touch if you want...

Acura needs to make the TL rear wheel drive, automatic locking doorlocks, daytime running lights, automatic headlights...um, I have an '00 TL, so don't flame me if the '03 addresses some of these issues...

Speaking of which, anyone heard anything about the '04? Pics and links please.

2. wider wheels, and the option of 18" wheels...and better tires

3. 6-speed manual

4. titanium/aluminum/carbon fiber interior trim

5. onboard computer (with like mpg and stuff)

6. being able to downshift to first gear in SS

7. better brakes

8. smaller turning circle

9. automatic headlights

etc, etc...

but i still love my car

*paint on the bumpers that matches the body sheetmetal
*better fit of bumpers to body
*Wider rims with better rubber
*Manual transmission option
*Same seats as CL-S

A little more engineering required....

*Rear wheel drive
*all-wheel drive
*more power (turbo/SC/maybe small V-8??)

a mechnism to prevent driving while parking brake is on. The car should alarm in this case.)

I'll go one better and say it should just auto release when then car is taken out of park.

I would also like a chime or some kind of alert that says "hey moron you left the sunroof open again" when you turn off the car.

real wood, reall aluminum, or carbon fiber
much better seating, real leather not this cheep a$$ stuff
rear wheel drive
all wheel drive as options
more power
more choices on rims
better handling
more noise isolation

You know what would be cool...If we could open the windows from the remote, or even the key hole on the door. I know the 740's did it...could this be a mod possibility???

vw jetta opens sunroof and windows with key,
g35 does it very nicely from remote,
heck most near lux. cars do the window opening act.

drive right by the acura dealer to a bmw, mercedes, lexus, or infinity dealer. the later is my new choice that g35 romps all over the comp and makes our cars look like the build quality of KIA.
