How to tell if tranny is going?
Hey! I am looking on a 2002 Acura TL type-S with 85k miles.
I know the tranny normally dies on this car.
I am getting a so called good deal on it. How can I tell if I am being stiffed of now?
What should I do to avoid buying a car with a dead transmission?
Would I still be covered under warranty to the 100k miles since I would be a 'new' owner of the car?
What information should I request from the seller? What do I need to verify before I buy this car?

Simply go thru the thread titles in 2nd gen and all your answers are there
Warranty is for the car- not who owns it- no sweat
call acura with the VIN and ask warranty repair history and if any outstanding freebie repairs 1-800-382-2238 x 5 6a-5p pacific time

Try the local Acura specialty repair shop/Import shop for a good used one for sale
