How to remove rear bench seat?

Has anyone removed the rear bench seat in their TL? My wife's grandma dropped a necklace down there. I tried feeling around but no luck.

What is the procedure? Just yank hard?

Easy...I think it is a 10mm nut. There is one of them. One on each side of the seat. I am trying to remember from that last time i did it.

I think there are a total of 3 bolts (2 for the top part and 1 for the bottom). Then you have to push towards the back of the car and it will pop up.

I hope this helps out...

To remove the rear seat its simple but just be carefull of the leather.

First the left side rear door open it and around the middle of the rear seat push the butt cushion part that meets the backside down and you will notice a 10mm bolt, Don't get confused with another bolt thats bigger in size next to it, thats for the seat belt.

Remove that 10mm bolt and then on the sides of the butt cushion slide your hand on the sides and give it a nice firm lift (TRUST ME IT WILL POP UP IN THE FRONTS OF THE BUTT CUSHION)

Once the bolt is off and you pop up the butt cushion part the sucker should come right off.

The back part you dont need to worry about since your basically looking for something that fell.

Hope this helps...

One important thing......take out the bottom of the seat out first! I learned the hard way! I ripped the leather in the back when I pulled the back part up. Be really careful where you lay your seats. Good luck!

And it is 3 bolts for the bottom of the seat. You will need a 10mm socket.
