Hi I am new to this board and I recently purchased a 2001 3.2 tl and for some reason the remotes that came with the car are not responding. I believe that they need to be reprogrammed. My local dealers won't help and try to say that i have to bring it in and pay money for them to make sure they need to program it and then they will charge even more to program. I know there is a special procedure to make the alarm brain and remotes program through putting the key in the ignition and pushing certain buttons but I don't know it exactly for an acura.

well thank you for that but it still isn't working Is there some kind of an on and off switch for thsecurity system and where exactly in the car is the unit located.. do these things ever go bad or am i just missing a blown fuse or something??

I finally figured it out...Thanks to a very nice dealer who tried to do it for free. The stupid remotes are the wrong ones...They are from the cl not for the tl now they want like 75 a remote for new ones

 

Try ebay motors, i.e. ebay.com, they have used remotes for Acuras, these are about half the price of the ones from the dealers.
