have you tried going in the back seat have a buddy holding the handle from the outside as you hold the handle on the inside and you push the door out?

it could just be jammed or one of the handles dont work.
in either case this would work.

if not; id try going to the acura dealership. i doubt theyd charge for a quick diagnosis.

wait on the dealership - not sure if you're having the same problems that i read about, but someone should be able to help you out. give it a little time so others have a chance to log-in and read your thread.

you could take the inside handle off and there will be a metal rod attached to he handle and held in place by a plastic bracket type thing. Make sure that it is attached and that nothing is broken. It is what attaches to the opening doo hickey if not attached it wont open. shouldnt affect the outside handle but just throwin out ideas

Sounds like the inside lock latch is detached from the metal pull rod. The slim Jim may be the only solution. Seek help from car thieves ?

there is a remote chance that the rubber seal on the door semi bonded to the door frame from getting wet and then drying fast.

this happened to me once - all it took was a a hard pull on the door and it came open.

but i think you door lock/opening metal rod is dislocated. tho you would be surprised how strong the rubber seal came be on the door if the right conditions are given.

I hate that. I finally started wiping those down lightly with tire dressing and it doesnt do it anymore. It used to be so annoying

yeah ill have to try that - just put some sort of lub on the rubber seal and that should def keep it from sticking. but tire shine is sticky so idk. ill just use an oil.

i dont put much on there. I usually rub it on and let it sit for a few then i will wipe the seals down with a clean rag so that its not built up on the seals

Sounds like the latch piece is broken off or something. The door panel will most likely have to be removed to gain access to it. Unless your lucky enough to have a good slimjim and know where to go to get to the mechanism your probably going to have to bring it to the dealer.

you dont wanna associate with thieves.

get a small precision flat head and a phillips driver. use the flatty to pop out the round screw cap and undo the phillips screw behind, slide the handle to the rear of the car and take it out, if it copmes out with ease the metal rod is definitely not in place, pull on it with the door unlocked and it should open. if not you've got a problem, and i think i saw...... crowbar. in an earlier post
